The girls took up their places and marched along drawh lines in order to demonstrate to spectators the exact direction ahd movements required to perform each section. The chief judge for the centre, Mr. F. G, Carrington, then explained the uniform method which would be used for judging all contests this season. Explanations and interpretations of the new revised hand hook foilowed a lengthy discussion on the various points and proved of beneftt to all. The visitors were later entertained at afternoon tea before returning to their districts, which cover a wide area. The chief coach of the centre, Mr. J. R. The interest which is only too apparent at this early stage augurs very well for a successful marching season.
