PersonaL Mrs. C. M. Cronquest, of Stout Street, has returned home after spending a short -holiday at Timaru. The Foxton Borough Council is far from satisfied at the replies it has received from the Minister of Works regarding the river loop problem, and at a recent meeting it was decided to obtain a legal opinion as to whether the Government has any right to deprive Foxton of its natural water supply. Successful Dance. Members of the Shannon Young Anglican Cluib held a very successful dance in the Parish Hall last evening. There was a good attendance of dancers from all over the district. Mrs. T. Fuller, of Moutoa, provided the music and a delightful supper was arranged by members and a foand of helpers.
