Women's Division Meets

Three new members were enrplled at this month's meeting of the Levin branch of the Women's Division of Federate'd Farmers, held recently. Mrs. C, Bartholomew was in the chair. Three enjoyable vocal solos were rendered by Miss A|ldrey Allen. Mr. Arnold Goodwin was the guest speaker. He dealt with drama and recounted humorous anecdotes from the experience of producing plays in country districts. A collection was taken up for the fund for lepers. Tea hostesses were Mesdames Routley, Long, Holdaway and Morton. Recently two buses conveyed division members from the Manawatu provincial district to Wellington for a visit to headquarters. Miss Nelle Scanlon was the guest speaker. After- lunch the party irispected the division's holiday house, "Honda," and a biscuit factory at Lower Hutt. They were thenHhe guests of the Lower Hutt branch at afternoon tea. At the Levin branch's next meeting a bring-and-buy stall is to be conducted. * ^
