R.S.A. Plans Reunion
At a meeting of the entertainment committee of the Shannon branch of the Returned • Services' Association, held this week, it was agreed to hold the annual rgunion this year in the Moutoa Hall, as this is the only suitable hall available on a Saturday evening. The date set down for the function was November 12. Arrangements were put in hand for transporting members from Shannon to Moutoa, it being decided that a free bus depart from the post office at 7.30 p.m. on the night of the function. A letter was received from the Wellington Tin Hat Club accepting the committee 's invitation to be present. It was agreed that the local commiitee arrange an entertainment for the members of the ■Opiki and Tokomaru sub-branches and this function will be held in the Tokomaru Hall on Saturday, October 29. As many local members as can possibly make- the trip are requested to be present, as this is the first occasion that an entertainment of this type has been arranged between the branches. If it proves successful other functions will be arranged. Members will be notified of transport arrangements at a later date.
