NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. jSjOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board held on September 21, 1949, the following resolution, of which due notice had been given, was passed, viz., "In pursuance and exercise of the Powers vested in it by Section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, the Horowhenua Electric Power Board hereby resolves by way of special Order as follows: "For the purpose of providing additional moneys for the purpose of further reticulating the Board's District The Horowhenua Electric Power Board hereby authorises the raising of a loan of Seventy thousand pounds (£70,000) at 3£ per cent. per annum for a period of 20 years. The said Loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal, aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments over the term of the Loan." And notice is hereby given that the above resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting . of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board to be held on October 19. 1949, at the Board's office, Bath Street, Levin, at 10 a.m. And further notice is hereby given in accordance with the requirements of Section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, that no moneys shall be borrowed in accordance with the resolution set out above if before the 18th day of October, 1949, not less than 5 per centum of the total ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the. ratepayers' rolls of the several constituent distriets within the Horowhenua Electric Power Board district by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Office of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board at Levin demand that a poll shall be taken on the proposal.
