Another case was instanced where a Manawhenua top line player had suddenly announcbd that he would not be playing, as he had received an attraotive offer of a job in Wellington. "It was not long before he was in the All Blacks," it was stated. "Is this game professional or amateur," commented rugby union president, Mr. R. L. Robinson." .
