Big Money Paid For A.A. Cattle
DANNEVIRKE, Oct. 11. Big prices were paid for Aberdeen Angus bulls of outstanding breediug offered here today at the annual sale of the New Zealand Aberdeen Angus Cattle Breeders' Association. The champion bull, Donald Grant's Emperor 22nd of Mangatoro, was bought by Johii AlacFarlane, Waitaranui Stud, Hastings, for llOOgns. The price of the champion buiJ last year was 1250gns. The second prize bull, offered by Humphrey Bayly, of Wairoa, was bought by J. Richardson, Tuakau, for 500gns. The third prize bull, ou account of Roberts and Co., Middlemarch, was bought by D. G. Fur long,. Bunnythorpe for 500gns. Fourth prize bull, offered on account of Tautane Stud, was bought by D. E. Rout, Greytown, for 410gns. For vearliug bulls, Donald Grant, Mangatoro, received 455gns, 450gns, and 365 gns and A McGaffln, Elsthorpe, 325gns and 28u gns. Primes ranged downwards to 55gns. Yearlings ranged from 455gns down to 65gns. An eight year old bull out oi Peony of Gwavas sired by Mulben Em bassy was bought for 630gris by ;J. Mc Farlane. 0
