Scouts Sell £70 Worth Of Health Stamps
Evidently the boy scout movement is not the only section of the community which - believes in the motto "Be Prepared," for judging by the pubiic response to the scouts' house-to-house health stamp canvass on Saturday citizens of Levin were prepared to better last year's effort at all costs. The net result of the scouts' efforts was the sum of £70, which is an increase of £13 on the amount collected last year. Levin health stamp saies up to the period ^ended on Saturday totalled £551, as compared with the £506 collected during the same period last year. The H«dth Stamp Committee greatly appreciates the interest that th* pubiic is ta'king in the campaigm and hopes that it will not dwindle as time goes on.
