"Fools Rush In" The Start Of Something Big
"The production of 'Fools Rush In' by uhe Levin Little Theatre Society is the start of something big for Levin, something that will grow as the years go by and be a definite asset in the future," said the guest producer, Mr. Arnold Goodwm, „ speaking at a supper party held at the conclusioxi of ine'finai presentation last night. The east had 'been one of the happiest he had ever encountered in his position of producer, continued Mr. Goodwin. "Their ability ' and willingness to work is amazing. A guest producer has the definite advantage of coming into ^he town as a complete stranger and thus he may easily turn a blind eye to the many unpleasant trivialities that seem. to affect anyone concerned with drama, and head straight for the otjective of making a success of t£e show." In concfusion, Mr. Goodwin said that ^f people were ever to produce law and order in this chaotic world the theatre would help admirably towards that end. On behaJf of the 1 east Mr. P. Nichol thanked the producer for his efforts to make the play the silccess that it had been, and presenled him with a gift as a token of the cast's esteem and thanks. "The production of 'Fools Rush In' has been a great success, both financiaLy and from the point of view of entertainment," said the president of the society, Mr. G. H. Sorenson. The success had been largely due to the willing cooperation of the commiutee and to the community of Levin as a whole. "We are deeply grateful for the assistance given by Mr. Goodwin, without which the production would not have been such a success," added Mr. Sorenson. The production of "Fools Rush In" has involved a great deal of hard work behind the scenes, without which the show would have been impossible.
