Personal. Mrs. T. Tregill, of Grand Street, returned !home cyesterday after spending a «koliday wxtli her daughter, Mrs. Clark* Woodville. Mrsv C. M. Cronquest, of Stout Street, left redently for Timaru where she will attend the jubilee celebrations of the Timaru School-. Mr. R. R. Lind, of Vance Street, has returned from Wellington where he attended the New Zealand power boards' annual con-r ference. Mr. and Mrs. C. Veale, of Stafford Street, have returned home after a visit to Norsewood, where they took part in the school jubilee celebrations. Mr. D. Laurvig, who was one of the early pupils of the Norsewood School, also atten'ded the celebrations. Few Whitebait. The whitebait have again gone into hiding, report the many fishermen from Shannon and Foxton over the past -few days. The banks of the Manawa'tu River were lined with nets over the weekend and a good number were out yesterday, but only catches of two pounds and under were reported. Dances Go To Moutoa. With the recent transforming of the Druids' Hall into a boxmaking factory, social functions too large to be held in the Parish Hall are being transferred to Moutoa, where a reasonably large hall is available. The first local function to go to Moutoa will be the Shannon Foobball Club's dance to be held shortly. Smaller functions are being held in the Parish Hall and the local Young Angliean Club will be holding a 'dance there on Thursday night.
