Police Digging In Dead Man's Garden
CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 10. Detectives and members of the uniformed branch of the police, under the direction of the inspector in charge of the detective branch, Inspector T. E. Holmes, were seen today digging in the garden of the home of Leslie James Graham who died suddenly at his residence at Harbour Road, Brooklands, on September 19. When inquiries were made from the police it was stated that | there was nothing for publication at 1 present. Graham, a Government messenger, was stated to have been ill for about a week b.efore he died about 8 p.m. on September 19. He was a married mas with a family of eight. On September 20 an inquest was opened at the Christchurch Public Hospital before the Coroner, Mr. Raymond Ferner, and adjourned sine die after evidence of identification had been given. A post mortem examination was ordered Dy the Coroner. Detectives and Constable J. Thompson from Belfast, went to Graham 's home on Saturday to make inquiries. The visit to Graham 's home today, in which a motor truck was used, was a a continuation of these inquiries.
