Received Monday, 10 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 3. The Channel swimming season ended on Monday when Fahmy Attalla, the 40-year-old Egyptian, abandoned his fifth attempt to swim from France to England, He had been in the water I .16 hours but had only got six nfilesl from the French coast.
