Personal. 1 Mrs. J. Bothamley, of Te Horo] suifered an - unfortunate injury a few days ago, having her arm ' broken in three places. She was leaving her car when a gust of wind caught the door and blew it back with severe force against her • arm. Card Evening Final. . The final card evening in aid of funds to implement the school gala project took place in the Band Hall on Saturday. There was the usual excellent attendance and prize winners were as follows: Mesdames T. McClelland and E. Smith (firsts) ; Mrs. L. Housiaux and' Mr. J. Snowdon (seconds) ; and Mr. C. Parrant and Master R. Bills (speeial prizes). Support For School Gala. ' A further meeting of helpers to advance arrangements in connection with the Siate School gala day, to be held on Saturday, took place on Ttmrsday night. Donations and a'dditional oiiers of help were reported to be coming in verjfreely and there appears to be every indication that the event will be an outstanding success. A sum in excess of £110 is already in hand. ■
