Belief Grows That Election Will Be Sudden
Received Tuesday, 10 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 3. The suspicion among the Bai'iiainentary Opposition that the Lahour Government may spring a general election on Br,itain without warning was quickened tonight by reports in the London Conservative evenihg hewspapers. These pointed out' that Parlia^: ment — at present adjonrnedl for tfee summer i*ecess until October 18 — need liot be summoned in order to be dissolved. They recalled that 27 years ago,- in Prime Minister Lloyd George's Ministry, Parliament was dissolved by Royal Proclamatioh during the adjotirnhjent .of both Houses.
