BIG RISE IN EASTERN ZONE POLICE DESERTIONS
LONDON, October 2. 1 The Associated Press says that the West German refugee camp authorities tffday noted a sharp increase in desertions from the East zone Communist people's police. Camp officers near Hanover said that in September 81 East zone policemen and five police women I arrived at their camp — three fewer j that had deserted between J anu- ] ary 1 and August 31.
