Queen Street Crossing To Have Keeper
* The level crossing at Queen St., Levin, is to be provided with a crossmg-keeper and iights. This ivas stated in the House of Repre- - sentatives yesterday by the Minister of Railways, Mr. fiseraple. The Minister was replying to a question asked eariier by Mr. J. J. Maher, M.P., following the recent accident, as to whether he wduld make investigations with a view to minimising the danger. in a note, Mr. Maher "said that in the past many accidehts had occurred at the crossing and people in the Levin district were alarmed at the everpresent danger to pedestrians and ,he travelling public.
