Wants Parliament To Sit In Christchurch

WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. A suggestion that Parliament might meet in the old Provincial Parliament Buildings in Christchurch during Canterbury's centennial celebrations next year, was made by the Leader of the Opposition, Air. Holland, in the House of Representatives today. Mr. Holland was speaking to a private bill, tne Riccarton Bush Amendment Bill. He said Cabinet made history by sitting in Dunedin during the Otago Centennial and he hoped Parliament itself might once meet in Christchurch. If that were done he would be pleased to entertain members of the House — those who held their seats at the elections — at tha besiitiful Riccarton Bush afterwards»
