Watersiders Run Amok

NEW YORK, Sept. 28. A mob of 250 watersiders, armed with axes, sledge hammers, knives and rocks, attacked volunteers unloading "black" Hawaiian pineapple at Dalles, Oregon, today. They broke through police guards and seriously injured two truek drivers and two newspapermen. The International Longshoremen 's Union earlier had called a port strike as a protest against non-union handling of Hawaiian pineapple.
