Representative Cricket
Asking that it be considered as a challenger for the Goldfinch and Cousins Cup on Anniversary Day, January 23, 1950, a letter from the Horowhenua Cricket Association was received at the Manawatu Association's meeting this week. It was decided to inform Horowhenua that the fixture was late in the season, that an earlier date would b1 more acceptable, and pointing out that other associations might require earlier challenges. It was pointed out that no challenge could be accepted before the beginning of December. The annual friendly trial match between Manawatu and Horowhenua on the first Saturday in December will be, piayed on the newly laid wiok®t at Levin.
