OTAKI With The Greyhounds
At Foxton on Saturday some good raeing was witnessed. The ; highlight of the day was the spiendid exhibition in the Progress Hurdles No. 1 of Master Luna in winning very comfortably for Mr. A. Brooks. Mr. F. Brunell's dog Blaek-Pool Sam won the puppy under 18 months; t'his pup also ran a very good second to Red Horizjn in Ghe puppy under two years. This was a good effort as Red Horizon is noted as one of the best open dogs raeing. Lady Myrtle was second for Mr. R. Booth and his other dog Disdain was third in the Open Hurdles No. 1. The Sapiings ha'd to have a rerun and Lady Nahleen won twice to receive the verdiet for Mr. G. Sinclair. The Open Hurdles No. 2 was a good raee and Nigger Boy was very unlucky in meeting Spring, a dog which always runs and jumps well at Foxton. Nigger Boy is still a bit big in condition, but is improving and always a good safe jumper. The local owners are travelling to Palmerston NorJb next Saturday to compete at an aii trophy meeting.
