They pinned their remarks to the statement by Chancellor Adenauer on lyionday that tl>e Republic wouM press "in a- lawful manner" for the return of the. territories held by Russia and Poland east pf the Oder-Neisse line. The boiscerous-nroGeedjnge came near to blows when two p.ermans, recently returned from Russian prison camps, forced their way past the guards and rushed on to the floor of the. House in tattered

uniforms to refijte the pro-Sovipt utterances of the Communist Deputy, Herr Max R'eimanrf. A bedlam of shouts broke out; while another communist delegate, Herr Heinz Renner, shouted: "This is an organised propaganda cam~ paign." Before - this inte'rruption Herr Reimann had advised delegates to accent the Oder-Neisse line, which forms Germany's eastern border. OLher delegates 'had said that the territory that is now part of Poland shou 'd be returned to Germany. Scores of angry delegates banged their desks and shouted, "Pfui!" (for shame), and started a mass walkout as H.err Reimann spoke. Chancellor Adenauer persuaded the delegates to return to their seats only after much shouting. At this stage one of th.e ex*Russian prisoners said : "I was taken prisoner by the Rpssians at Stalingrad.-- I have no home and nothing to eat. Then to hear this man talk this way about leaving German territories under Russian control."
