' AUCKLAND, Sept. 22. With his arm in a sling, the Australian Rugby fullback, B. Piper, rejoined the team in Auckland • today. He has been staying with Mr. D. S. B. Heather, manager of this year's New Zealand Maori. team in Australia, since he fractured his right arm in a fall from a baleony at Whakatane last month. Piper, who is one of the most popular members of the team, received a vociferous welcome from the Australians. The manager, Mr. R. Walden, said: "It is worth three points to us to see him again. ' ' When he turned 24 last week, Piper received 28 congratulatory teelgrams, one from each member of the Australian party. His arm will be in plaster for another ijvo months.
