' AUCKLAND, Sept. 22. With his arm in a sling, the Australian Rugby fullback, B. Piper, rejoined the team in Auckland • today. He has been staying with Mr. D. S. B. Heather, manager of this year's New Zealand Maori. team in Australia, since he fractured his right arm in a fall from a baleony at Whakatane last month. Piper, who is one of the most popular members of the team, received a vociferous welcome from the Australians. The manager, Mr. R. Walden, said: "It is worth three points to us to see him again. ' ' When he turned 24 last week, Piper received 28 congratulatory teelgrams, one from each member of the Australian party. His arm will be in plaster for another ijvo months. The Australian team arrived by air from Christchurch today for the second Test against New Zealand at Eden Pafk on Saturday. The three-quarters C. Davis and J. Fogarty are sulfering [ from pulled muscles. Front-row for ward J. Baxter had three stitches inserted over his eye after the match against Canterbury on Wednesday. . He is included. however, in the nine f orwards from whom the Test pack wi.ll be picked. • 'T
