A Friesian bull calf weighlng 144 lbs. was born on the properLy, of Mr. F. O. Malcotm, Levin, d'uf'ng thev weekend. The norma! Weight varies between 80 and 90 bs. Bbth calf and its mbther are doing well and there were no oomplications at the birth. The district veterinary surgeon, Mr. R. Long, was present when the calf was born and he exbre^sed the view that it was the heaViest calf he had seen . born alive. • Mr. Malcolm intehds keep-^ ing the Calt and he has ho bbjectioh to anyone interested viewlng it. . -
