Personal. Mr. V. Robinson, .of .vBiallance Street, returned home yesterday after spen-ding a convalescent holiday at Tauranga and Rotorua. Opening Of Rest Room . At the fortnightly meeting of the Shannon Borough Council, fheld on Tuesday evening, the Mayof, Mr. -D. A. Mtzgerald, stated that he hoped the ladies' rest room would ibe offlcially opened before September 24. It was resolved that assistance be ohtained in getting the grounds ready 'and this matter was left in the hands of Cr. B, Clayton, chairman of the xeserves- committee. • • Water Supply Loan.. The secretary of the Local' Government Loans Board, in a better received by the Shannon Borough Council on Tuesday evening, stated that plans, specifieations and estimates have been received from the* consulting engineer for the proposed Shannon water supply improvement scheme. The propo'sal will now 'be investigated by the1 Departments of Works and Internal Aifairs.
