Fine Display At W.D. Flower Show
• ■> v ->.1 • . ■! j.m iThere was ah excelleht display of* ihlqbms at the flower show arrahged ;by the Shannon branch of -the Women's Division of Federtfed' Farmers, held in the Driiidk' Hall last Saturday afterndpn and' evening. The official opQhing took place at 2 . p.m. and there was a good gathering of the public. ~ The c.eremony was perf orined by > Mr. H.>i A. Seifert, president of the Shannon branch of Federated Farmers. - The" presentation of prizes took place in the evening and Mr. K. Mitchell, vice-president of the branch. presented the various trophies to the winnexs. The cup for the. best bulb was won by Mrs. J. D. . Aitchison, while, Mrs. W. A. Thir'd received the trophy for the most points obt-ain-ed at the show. Mrs. E. Barber was the eonvener of the show and Mrs. R. Hl Charter was the secretary. " The ju'dges were as follows:— Mr., A.
