Levin Chess Players Visit Palmerston North
Last Monday evening a team of fight members of the Levin and District Chess Club visited and aad a friendly match. with the Palmerston North Chess Glub. The evening was much enjoyed by all and the Palmerston North Ciub was invited to return the visit as soon as a suitable date can be arranged. Resul-ts wTere ss follows, Paimers on North players being mentioned first: Arlidge beat Woodhe.d, Gatley beat McLachlan, Eagie beat Nairn, Watkins lost to Lett, Mills beat Macdonato, Beere beat Taylor, Holmes drew wich Atkinson, Griggs. lost to McMinn. nggregate: Palmerston North 5i, Levin 21. Play next Monday will be at the residence of Mr. J. Perigo, 9 Hereford Street.
