INVERCARGILL, Rept. 7. "This meeting of the Routhland provincial dairy sectiou of Eederated Farmers vicws with feelings of grave concern amounting almost to reseiltment, the report that the Dominion's exportable surplus of butter is not being marketcd under our natioual brand," stated a remit passed at a meeting of the section todav. "We consider that as hostilities have ceased for about four years, this Dominion shotild be free to market its butter in a manner that will at least place us on an equal footing with our competitors. " kTr A, Y, MaAtley, who attended the annual conference of the Dairy Board, stated in his report that tlie path Would hot be easy in future, as befoi'C the. waf about 11 Empire countries and 20 foriegn countries shipped 474,000 ton^6 of butter to the United Kingdom. During the war New Zealand, Australia and Argehtirie were the only co'uiitries shipping, to Britain. By 194^ Denmark was back again with 40,0f)f) totts of butter and for the past calendar vear she exported to Britain more than twothirds of her prewar quantity.
