Full Yardings Of Fat Stock At Sale

At the Levin sale yesterday a full yarding of fat sheep/ and cattle was put before buyers, whose bi'dding was keen in all sections. Fat sheep sliowed a slight rise on last week's sale in spite of an over supply, the quality being good throughout. Store hoggets yarded also met with a keen demand. The pig yarding depreciated from las: week and the demand was consequently "increased, all pens being so.'d at auction. The quality of the fat cattle yarding was exceptionally high and buyers appreciated this' fact by showing keenness in their bidding. Dairy catcle, though yarded in reasonable numbers, met with no demand at all, and few were sold under the hammer. .Quotations: — 'Fat sheep: Prime ewes, 43s 4d to 44s lOd; prime wethers, 62s lOd to 64s 4d; medium do., 59s 4'd to 61s lOd; lighter do., down to 56s ld; maiden ewes, 49s lOd 'to 56s 4d; black faced four and six tooth ewes, 46s lOd; extra prime wooiiy white faced hoggets, 55s ld to 56s lOd; prime black face'd do., . 46s 4d to 48s ld; shorn black faced do., 39s lOd.
