Other costs were unknown and if they eventuated the totai cost would be increased to nearly £68,000. If every available seat for all the events. was sold at the prices decided upon, the maximum income from the Games would be £78,000, contiuued Mr. Porter. However, the estimated totai for gate receipts was £51,860. Other income amounting to about £10,000 was expected from broadcast fees and film rights. It would be seen, tKerefore, that a careful watch had to be kept 011 expenditure or the guarantors and shareliolders would be faced with a small loss. The meeting authorised an expenditure of £58,185 within the individual limits specilied in the repbrt. The question of insurance against war and other risks, was deferred.
