Received Tuesday, 11.5 a.m. ■ t DURBAN, Sept. -5. Much has a.'ready been said and is still being said about Saturday's rugby test. The All Blacks today received some measure of satisfaction, therefore, to read a 'report* from Wellington which correctly reflected some of their difficulties in upholding New Zealand's rugby prestige on the field. This article advisably pointed out that by and large the generai tendency among responsible observers is to uphold the referee in recognition of the . difficulty of.his position. Matters in this connection, however, came tova head on Saturday and the generai tendency in the South African Press is to refer to the test as "the test of the penalties." Today several of the All Blacks saw a film of the third test. The unanlimous wish expressed afterwards was" that the people at - home should see the same film',The All Blacks realise that, as infce^es'ted parties, any comment ' by them could be construed as partial, and they will be content • if the people at home see the film and .draw their own conclusions, n'otably on the incident where 'the obstruction penalty was awarded against Scott. The Wellington article naturally inquires why the same referee was chosen by the All Blacks, as he was the official who controlled the first test in which penalties a'so cost New Zealand the match. Mr. J. Parker, the All . Blacks' manager, has dechned, however, to make any Press statements on contentious matters till the tour - is conclude'd. It is obvious that many points will then have to be cleared* up for the sake of good understanding between the two countries, aijd in particular the South African interpretation of knock-ons.
