Personal. Mrs. J. Royal, of Rauparaha Street, leaves tonight for a short holiday visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. V. Noble, of Matene Street, who have been visiting Taita, have returned to Otaki. Home And School Speakers. Vocational guidance officers will be the guest speakers at the next monthly meeting of the Home and School Association on Thurs'day next. Footballers' Annuai Visit. The Otaki Football Club has sent two teams to Petone today to indulge in the annuai friendly contests between Otaki and Petone clubs. Following the games, which are to be played in the morning, all will go, to Athletic Park to see the first test between Australia and New Zealand. Card Series Finalised. The final of a series of card evenings1 organised by the Otaki Bowling Club was held on Thursday night. Prior to presenting prizes won, Mr. J. D. Avery, the president, thanked all for their support. Points prize-winners were Mrs. R. Bills and Mr. J. Snowdon, and prizes for the night were won by Mesdames M. McGilligan, H. Cole and S. Brooks and Mr. McGilligan (firsts) and seconds by Mesdames H. Grant and E. Smith.
