The Wellington District Methodist Synod ''today, after a discussion on the referendum ou compulsory military training, passed the following resolution: "While commending the Governriient for. giving the people the opportunity to vote on the issue of compulsory military 'training, the synod urges upon the Government the need for making adequate financial and publicity provisions for the presentatiofi of both sides of the case when any referendum is to be takeu, partieulaxiy when the Governmeat intends to take a partisan attitued to the issue involved."
