Woman Injured In Fall Under Train

WELLINGTON, August 31. Falling between -a train and the platform at Waterloo gStation last night, Mrs L. C. T. Inwood, aged 60, ot • Willow Avenue, Stoke, Nelson, snffered coinponnd fractures of both leg.s and head injuries. Hpr condition this morning was reported from the Hntr Hospital as serious. Mrs Inwood, was returning from Palmerston North, to 271 Riverside Drive, Waterloo, when, after alighting jLt the station, she was seen to disappear. The emergency brake was applied by a train assistant, and Mrs Inwood was found lying beueath a , oarriage. She was unconscious and taken to the Hutt Hospital by the Free Ambulance.
