Professor Gordon Jackson, prineipal which supports science as much ns Britain. Moreover, the freedom wirh of Birkbeck College, said he wonM make no comment until he had seen Professor Bernal. The views attributed to Professor Bernal did not seem to be in accord with what Professor Jackson eaid he knew of him. Professor Bernal, who is aged 48, was during the war adviser to the Chief Combined Operations and to the Mirrstrv of Home Reeurity. He is a distinguished physicist and a Fellow of the Roval Roeietv.
