Man Feared To Have Been Drowned
WHANGAREI, Aug. 30. Missed from the Portland Wharf last night, Neil McQueen, age'd 53, married, of Toetoe, near Portland, an employee of Wilson's Portland Cement, Ltd., is feared to have been drowned. Mr. McQueen was working on the Aranui, one of three ships discharging and loading at the Portland Wharf, with other employees. He' ceased work at 5 p.m. for tea and at 5.45 p.m. was seen by an officer 011 the ship. When the other employees resumed Wofk at 6 p.m. Mr. McQueen was missed and a search was made without result.
