A National Airways plane brought a carefully wrapped package from Tauranga to Auckland on Friday, a/ Tauranga resident having found -what he considered to be an interesting specimen of sea life which he wanted identified. When taken to the Auckland Museum the specimen was found to be a c'emmon sea worm! Three Airliners Delayed. Three overseas airliners originally due at Auckland on Sunday night did not arrive. Bad weather at Norfolk Island caused postponement of the round trip flight from Auckland of a N.A.C. plane till yesterday morning. A day lost at Fiji last week put the aircraft on the fortnightly service between Rarotonga, Tonga, Samoa and Auckland a day behind on its timetable. It arrived last night. The B.C.P.A. DC6 is also a 'day late. Radio-Active Cobalt.^. A relatively large 'shipment of radio-active cobalt (about 250 millicuries) has been received in New Zealand and will be used at Canterbury University College and the Dominion Physical Laboratory at Lower Hutt. This was reported by the director of the Dominion X-ray and Radium Laboratory (Mr. G. E. Roth) to the annual meeting of the Canterbury, Marlborough, and Westland Divisionof the New Zealand branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society. Walk For Skiers. The heavy snowfall on Ruapehu on Friday attracted hundreds of visitors to the mountain for the weekend. In attempting to clear the road for buses to take skiers to Bait Hut, a grader went over the edge only two miles ffom the Chateau, and the road was blocked all Saturday morning, skiers having to walk two miles to Salt Hut before climbing the mountain. A bulldozer finally pulled the grader back on the road, an'd buses were able to complete the journey. Meh Come; Women Follow. Professor Vernon Griffiths told the music leadership school at Christchurch that men were ig-nore-d too often in the fonhation of community choral and instrumental groups. Orice boys' voices broke their worth as singers was forgotten for yea,rs.. Men who came in from the land, tireti and dirty, were not.urged to gather for a musical rehearsai and recreation. "Get the men and boys to attend and all the women of the distriet will follow," Professor Griffiths said. Smart Riigby Work-out.
