New Wage Rates For Workers On Farms
WELLINGTON, August 25. Tncreased wage rates for agricultural workers employed on farms and stations used for the commercial production ofBvool, meat or grain (including seed.), are announced bv thf ATinister of 'Labour, Air. AtcLagan The new rates, which were agreed on between the parties and are payable from July 1, provide for a wee'dv adult rate of increase of 11s 6d weekly and proportionate increases -for youths. The hourly adult rate is increased by 31d an hour with proportionate increases for youths. Provision is alst made for casual workers to b er paid holiday pgy in accordance with legislative requirements.
