Men's Golf At Otaki
The finali'sts for the Dovey D'Ath and Len'.Shepherd Memorial Cups were found on Saturday in the' Otaki Golf Club' competitions. J. Winterburn beat H. L. Browne 2 and 1 in the second semi-final of the Dovey D'Ath, and Winterburn is now to meet A. Harper in the final. In the Len Shepherd, A. Harper beat L. G. Gimblett 2 and 1, and P. Willis and W. D'Ath finished all square. In the re-play on Sunday D'Ath beat Willis 1 up. D'Ath is now to play Harper in the final. P. Bryden and E. Gray finished 2 up on bogey in the bogey match played. Next Saturday the first round of the 1949 championships will be played. Matclies are: — Senior: E. Gray v. H. Derham, T. Webster v. J. Winterburn, T. O'Rourke v. W. D'Ath, J. Sams v. Z. Gray.
