Concert For Levin Scouts Attracts Interest
The visit of the Palmerston North Orpheus Society's male choir on Wednesday to present a concert in aid of the Levin Scout Group's fund to build a hall at Playford Park has aroused- considerable interest. It is not often that residents«of the district have an opportunity in this town of hearing such a fine choir and a capacity house is almost certain. The scouts, who greatly appreciate the society's gesture in giving the concert, are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the functidn is an outstanding Success, and have been busily engaged selling tickets for it. Highlight of the programme will, of course, be the singing of the choir and they apjjear four times during the evening, rendering three numbers on each occasion. Talented artists suppbrting the choir include the Well-known si.ngers, Miss A. Wilson, Mr. A. Nielsen, the fiautist, Mr. Huse, and the eiocutibnists, Miss M. Niven and Mr. J. Bewley.
