Farmer In Trouble Over Tax Return
NEW PLYMOUTH, August 19. Deeision wTas reserved in the New . Plymouth Magistrate 's Court today when Eichard Abraham Warner, farmer and stock dealer, appeared before Mr. Woodward, S.M., facing allegations that between 1943 and 1948 h6 wilfully submitted false returns of income which nnderstated his income by £12,366 and created a tax deficiency of more than £5000. Warner pleaded not guilty to six charges, maintaining he was unaware of the increase in his business.
