Milk Drinking Becoming Popular Habit
WELLINGTON, August 18. New Zealanders are using so nmch milk tliat butter and clieese oxports are being affected and there is less milk for pigs and consequently less pork is available. Tliese facts were mentioned bv the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Cullen, when he addressed the Dominion Dairy Conference today. The consumption of milk in New Zealand before the war, said the Minister, was 220 pints a head a year. To dav it was 320 pints a year. The milk consumption for the whole Dominion. was equivalent to 7980 tons of butter before the war and 13,000 tons today. .•
