WELLINGTON, August 19. With the exception of the two main jumpihg events particularly largie fields are carded tomorrow for the concluding day of the Grand NationaL meetiiigv at Riccarton. With some prospects'of the going beihgimproved for tomorrow students of winter f orrh may expbr'ienbe a ^easonably good day, Best f orm at the meeting among the jumpers is that of Hunting Ma.c, who won the Jumpers' Flat on thes first day, Grand •National Hurdles on the second day, and is now looked on as holding reasonably good prospects of completing the treh|e for the. meeting by winning the Sydenham Hurdles. Hunting Mae is in his best form at present, is a .grand mudlark, And considering the weaker field he has to me'et should not be tr.oubled by wright.

Other meetings are the Taranaki and Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Clubs' combined fixture and the Pakuranga Hunt at Ellerslie. It is a weak field engaged in the Beaufort . Steeplechase' with nothing outstanding. On form Homespun looks like making a successful debut in open class. Others with good jumping prospects are First Out, Eleanor Star, Bravura and Speeialist. Dark Arrow has come into favour for the Heathcote Handicap with Western Front and He'lio also in strong support. Kartikeya rau well for nine furlongs in * the Islington Handicap. He appeared to stumble in the run to the judge and went right back. He was soadly backe'd and is again regarded as a good prospect tomorrow. Western Winner, Gold King and Julius Caesar afe the Selwyn Handicap favourites.- It is a good field open to a surprise result. Infatuate has run consistently well and a little improvemeht would land him a winner. Other prospect are Duvaals, Clyde Bridge, Lady Myrtle and Bambaiina.
