Hockey Honours To Raukawa Ladies And Levin
The Horowhenua Hockey Association's annual ladies' seven-a-side and men's five-a-side tournaments were held at Levin on Saturday. The ladies' section was won by Raukawa A, who thus annexed the Wise Cup and Buttons, while the honours in the men's section, where. the Cheesman Cup and Buttons were competed for, went to Levin A. Each team played three games, two points being allocated for a win and one for a draw. The winners of each sec'tion then met in the finals. Points gained were as follows: — Ladies. Section A: Raukawa A 6, Textile 4, College A 2 and Levin B 0. j Section B: Levin A 4, Rahui 3, I College B 3 and Raukawa B 2. In the final Raukawa A beat Levin A by two goals to one. Men. Section A: Levin A 6, Kimberley A 4, Levin U-2 and Rahui B 0. Section B: Rahui A 6, Te Horo 4, Levin B 2 and Kimberley B 0. Levin A beat Rahui A by six goals to one in the final.
