Received Tesday, 7 p.m. NEW YORK, August 15. America had "pumped" over 6,000,000,000 dollars into Britain since the war but almost eertainly it would "never get back a penny." The New York World Telegram uiade this statement in the introduction to tJie first of a series of articles from London by Mr. E. T. Leeeh, senior editor of the Scripps Howard chain of "hewspapers. The World Telegram introduction said: "Our money may not even bring the recovery for. which we spent it. However, we still can get value received. England can provide us with prieeless lessons of experiqne'e if we will only study them. Bhe.has been carry'ihg out 011 a vast scale, social, economic aird bolitical schemes whereon we also have either startcd or with which we are flirting. " Mr. Leech said: "Nobody else on earth has greater guarantees of security than the British eitizen, yet today one of the most insecure of the world's people is this same British eitizen. He bears and has long borne great burdens. Now he faces Mill heavier ones. The security he seeks so passionately ahvays is in the future. The allgiving British Government is going broke. There ean he no security for the people when the Government is insecure."
