Personal. Mr. and Mrs. D. Grant, of Te Horo, leave today for a mptorihg holiday in the North. Mr. and Mrs. B. Ryder, of Aotaki Street, are among local visitors to the South Island. Mrs. Parker, of Tasman Road, who suffered a fall last week, is how making satisfactory progress towards recovery. Messrs R. J. Kerridge and W. Townsend, of Auckland, were Auckland visitors to Otaki on Saturday. Mr. Neil Synnott, of Masterton, and Mr. and Mrs. D. Philpott, of Miramar, were weekend visitors to Otaki, the guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. Synnott, Waerenga Road. The death occurred at Kaiwarra on Friday last of William Henry, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. William Dougherty, erstwhile residents of Otaki. He was in his 20th year. Card Evening Successes. At the fortnightly card evening run by the Tuis marching team, and held in the Druids' Hall on Thursday last, the winners were Mesdames H. Cole, P- Blyth, E. Smith and Mr. R. J. Royal (firsts) , and Mrs. H. Arcus and Miss E. Brown (seconds) .
