The first Otaki Boy Scout Group Committee and parents assembled at the scout training hall on Tuesday night, when an investiture was held. The sister branch of the scout movement, the girl guides, were also represented. Parents evinced keen interest in the many activities covered, and complimentary reference to the manner in which both scouts and cubs carried out their duties were made. Mr. F. Mr. Rule made complimentary reference to the progress the lads had jmade under their new leader, and I hoped that the reported early deIparture of Scoucer Lethbridge would not eventuate.
