[SjOTICE is hereby given that the Shannon Borough Council will at a special meeting of the Council to be held on Friday, the 26th day of August, 1949, at 8.15 p.m., make and ievy the fohowing rates for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1949, and ending on the 31st day of March, 195Q. A General Rate under section 77 of the Municipal Cbrporations Act, 1933, of 1 l-9/16th of a penny in the pound sterling. A Hospital and Charitable Aid rate under the provisions of the Hospital and Charitable Aid lnstitutions Act, 1926, of 5/16th of a penny in the pound sterling. A Special Rate of 7/8th of a penny in the pound sterling on all rateable property within the Borough of Shannon to provide for the payment of interest, principal and sinking funds on loans and ohat the special rate be apportioned as .follows: — Conversion Loan No 1 £575, Conversion Loan No. 2 £76/19/4, Redemption Loan £112, a water supply Maintenance Rate of l/16th of a penny in the pound sterling; a Manawata Catchment Board Rate of . l/12th of a penny in the pound sterling, a separate rate of 5/16th of a penny in the pound sterling ,nn pro^.Ilaiii 96 of the Municipal Corpoiauxuim Act 1933 of £2/10/- per year for each convenience in the Borough of Shannop. from which the Council is prepared to remove nightsoil. All the above rates are levied on the capital value and payable in one instalment on the 12th day of September, 1949. Notice is also given that the rate book containmg particulars of al the above rates and sanitary charges also the valuation roll containing the values on which rates are assesse'd are open for inspeetion during offi.ee hours.
