Manawatu Bowling Centre Meets
In welcoming over 40 delegates to the 37 h annual meeting of the Manawatu Bowlipg Centre held iPPalmerston North on Saturday, Mr. P. O. Skoglund, president, expressed his gratification at the conlinued Interest in 'the centre that was so well manifest by the large attendance of delegates. In view of the poor entries for 'he Christmas . fours 'touirnament, it was resolved that 'the tournament be abandoned as a centre fixture f'or this year. If a Christmas fours tournament is held this year i's management will be in the hands of cne uf the local clubs. By arrangement with the Greens Researeh Division it has been decided that a levy .of 6fl per member be made by the centre and he paid to the researeh council. The design submitted by Mr. Lochie Brown has been decided on rs the most suitable for the' new certificates. As it was felt that the ordinary revenue of Ihe centre should cover the ordinary expenditure, it was resolved that the affi iation fee be increased to 2s per member. A remit from the Dannevirke Club to the effect that all champion f championship games he played hi Palmerston North, after cfiscussion by the meeting, was referred to-the centre executive with powei to act.
