BATAVIA, August 2. The Indonesiau Republieans aud Federalists have agreed on the iuaih outline of the organisatlon and status for the future Republic of Uuited-Indo-nesia. The agreement was announced at the end of the inter-Indonesian confereuee in .Batavia today. The couferenee was a preliminary to round-table talks which are to take place iu The Hague. The couferenee adopted the externai symbols of the flag (red and white) and the autliem ("Indonesiau Raja7') ok the pireseut republic as those of the future republic of United Indonesia. It also decided: — 1. That Indonesiau shall be the new republic ;s offieial language. 2. The republic an regular army witn the Royal Indonesian army, navy, ana air force, and the security , forces of the Federal States, shall form the nucleus of the armed forces of the new republic. 3. The President of the new republic shall be cliosen by representatives ot the republic and of the federalists. 4. The President, in consuitation with representatives of the Federal States, shall nominate three people who are to be entrustod with the responsibility ox forming a Cabinet. , 5. When a President has been chosen and a Cabinet appointed the new republic shall be considered as ready to receive the transfer of sovereignty. 0. The President shall be com-mander-in- chief of the armed forces of tlie new republic, and the commanders. of the three -services shall be Indonesians. 7. Free secret elections for the Constituent Assembly shall be held within a year of the transfer of sovereignty.
