Wolf Pack Gives Pleasing Entertainment

A very entertaining evening was provided by the First Levin Wolf Cub Pack on Tuesday last. In an effort to raise funds for the benefit of the pack, a concert was presented in St. Mary's Hall before a capacity audience. With the exception of four items, the entire programme was produced by the cubs themselves without assistanee from their cubmasters. After extending a welcome to all present, Miss Beth Blenkhorn, the senior cubmistress, soon had the very full programme pnder way. Each group presented an item which consiSted of short plays, charades and individual performances. Two items which proved very popular with the appreciative audience were "King Arthur Burns the Cakes," presented by Barry Kissell, Dudley Greenaway and Creighton Chainey; and "The Mad Tea Party" from "Alice in Wonderland;" by Lindsay McLean, Bruce Cole, Tony Hewitt and Graham Thompson. A tap-dance duo by Robin and Earl Collier was also well done. Following a piano solo and a vocal item by two c'ubmistresses, the grand finale took the form of a camp-fire sing-song with all the pack taking part. In this the cubs were led by Miss Blenkhorn and her assistant cubmistresses. A silver collecticn of £12 13s was taken up, which in itself proved how the whole performance was received by the large audience. '
